Indian Head Gold Eagle (XF) 1907-1932
The Indian Head $10 Gold Eagle is extremely popular among collectors, both of which buy Indian Head Gold Eagles online in large numbers. Like the contemporary $20 Double Eagle, the Indian Head $10 Gold Eagle was designed by famed sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens at the behest of President Theodore Roosevelt.
Production continued from 1907-1933, at which time the US abandoned the gold standard and ceased the manufacture of gold coins. Many Indian Head Gold Eagles were melted down, and several dates, such as the 1933 $10 Gold Eagle, are rarities. CBMint is the best place to buy Indian Head $10 Gold Eagle coins online, as we have the lowest prices, a great selection, and fully guarantee both the quality and authenticity of each coin.

Details of $10 Indian Head Gold Eagles
The designer of the coin, August Saint-Gaudens, was nominated by President Theodore Roosevelt to help redesign the coinage of the United States. For the $10 gold piece, he used imagery of Liberty in profile, wearing a Native American headdress, along with 13 stars and the mint date.
The reverse shows a large eagle perched on a group of arrows and an olive branch. Like the $20 Gold Double Eagle, early versions omitted the "In God We Trust" motto. This was later added to the reverse by an Act of Congress. Sadly, Saint-Gaudens died of cancer in 1907 and was unable to see the fruits of his labor, though the coins enjoy a reputation of beauty that persists to this day.
The $10 Indian Head Gold Eagle is not to be confused with the new American Gold Eagle Coin, which is a non-circulating modern coin produced for buyers who invest in gold bullion.
